Natural undyed wool fibers are washed in the river to preserve their natural state. These fibers are then spun and woven by hand, before they're brushed on one side to produce a unique textured effect.

Gushka

Founded in 2017, Gushka preserves century-old Carpathian weaving techniques in pure, natural sheepswool. Combining intricate, modern designs with time-honored traditions, each rug — or lizhnyk — is a testament to the skill and passion of their artisans. The process begins with matriarchs of the Hutsul community, who spin the thread at home near the stove, after which third- and fourth-generation weavers expertly weave carpets, rugs, blankets, and pillows on old wooden looms.
